Alpina-modified engine. Only 430 6-Series units have been produced. There was either turbo or non-turbo Alpina versions. The most powerful was the 3,5-litre power source that prodiced 330 bhp at 5700 rpm and a torque of 378 lb./ft. 110 units have been produced during April 1984 — August 1987 period.
